Service Projects for 2012-2013
The Healing Hearts
of
Asa C. Adams School
The students of Asa C. Adams School are compassionate and caring. They often want to use their hearts to help heal the hearts of others. The Student Council has chosen 3 groups to help.
1. Hurricane Sandy impacted many communities. PS 15 Patrick F. Daly School in Brooklyn, NY is a PreK-5 school just like we are. It is in need of everything from basic school supplies to basic clothing.
2. The community of the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT is in need of support. It is a K-4 school.
3. The Crossing Guards of Orono, brothers Cris and Randy Davis passed away on Sunday December 23, 2012. They wished for donations to the Bangor Humane Society in their name.
To accomplish these service projects, Student Council will be organizing several fundraisers. The first is a change drive. A container is in the office for these donations. The second is a bake sale on Thursday January 24th. (Nut-free donations of baked good & other treats are welcome!)
Please consider supporting the students of Asa C. Adams as they reach out with their hearts to help heal the hearts of others.
